FAQ’s

Do I share a bathroom?

• This is a whole house rental. Only your group will be staying here. All 5 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms are for your group to use.

Is Appalachian Trail Home Stay dog-friendly?

• Yes.

Are the washer and dryer free? 

• Yes, and there will be detergent for you to use.

Where are we allowed to go?

• You have got access to upstairs, back deck, and outside.  You do not, however, have access to the apartment or the unfinished basement.

Does the host/owner stay here?

• You may see the host/owner coming in/out of the apartment or basement, or you may see him watering the plants.  Once those tasks are done, he’s gone.  

Do any pets live here?

• Yes, two cats live here. When no guests are staying here, the cats will wander around upstairs, but they are not permitted in guest rooms. For stays of 2-6 days, they will be downstairs in the basement, and they will keep to themselves.  For extended stays, they will not be in the basement. (I'll bring them with me.)  Though every effort is made to wash my own laundry separate from guest bedding, a stray cat hair or two may appear.

What's the WiFi code? 

• Zero Day Stay Guest - 0423zero 

Do we have chores to do?

• No.  If you strip the beds, thanks.  If you throw the towels in the bin, load up the dishwasher or take out the trash, much appreciated.  But, if you do none of these things, absolutely no problem at all.

Smoking?

• There is no smoking -- cigarettes, vape, or cannabis -- anywhere inside the house.  Outside, please smoke away from open windows, use the ashtrays, and leave no trace.

What time is check-in and checkout? 

• Check-in: 3pm — Checkout: 11am

Where can I review or comment on my stay? 

• I’d be happy for you to review your stay on any/all of these platforms ↓ ↓
